ABOUT ME

Hi —

Perhaps you saw some of my work online and thought you’d take a look around or you may have heard about me from family, friends or online connections. However you got here, I’m glad you’re here and thanks for stopping by.

I am a South African photographer with interests in landscapes and travel, occasionally blogging about my experiences; good and bad.

Photography is a medium I used at art school where I was schooled in darkroom techniques. However, I only began photographing in earnest a few years ago, now in digital, and find it a great creative outlet along with painting and writing. My site features image galleries of my travels with select imagery available for sale in my online store.

Growing up in South Africa, free time is spent swimming our raging oceans, exploring our beautiful coastlines, roaming in the wild bush and trekking our majestic mountains. I let my photography speak for me and find myself happiest outdoors exploring remote regions.

I choose the term 'fine art photography' to allow for interpretation and creative expression. In the words of Ansel Adams, 'you don’t take a photograph, you make it'.

Enjoy
